On November 13th, the Smart Customs project in Côte d'Ivoire received its EPC contract advance payment, marking the fulfillment of all execution conditions and the official entry into the implementation phase.
This project, undertaken by Genertec CNTIC, aims to leverage information technology to facilitate the digital and smart transformation of Côte d'Ivoire’s customs operations, significantly enhancing the modern management capabilities of the customs authority. Upon completion, it will optimize clearance procedures, facilitate trade, and provide robust support for Côte d'Ivoire’s regional trade development. It also represents a positive outcome of the “Connectivity Partnership Action”, one of the “Ten Partnership Actions” proposed at the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC).
