At 10:08 AM local time on October 1, the 84MW Ivovik wind power project, jointly invested in and constructed by Genertec CNTIC and PowerChina Resources Ltd., successfully achieved grid connection and commenced power generation.

This project is a major initiative in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the first energy project in the country invested in by a Chinese company. It is also the first energy project in Bosnia and Herzegovina to be built under a foreign concession model. The project is located in Livno and Tomislavgrad, the capital city of tenth canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The total installed capacity is 84MW, and the main construction includes 20 wind turbines with a single-unit capacity of 4.2MW, one 110kV step-up substation, approximately 2 kilometers of 110kV overhead transmission lines, and other auxiliary production facilities.

The project is expected to generate 260 million kWh of electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 240,000 tons, dust emissions by 70,000 tons, and saving 100,000 tons of standard coal. This will effectively improve the surrounding environment, enhance the quality and stability of the local ecosystem, promote the transformation and upgrading of Bosnia and Herzegovina's energy structure, and support the country's carbon reduction plans, contributing to sustainable economic development.
