On July 23, 2015, the Six New Local Roads as the first phase (46.5KM in all) under the Sri Lanka Southern Highway Project contracted by CNTIC have been handed over and awarded the Taking-Over Certificate from the Road Development Authority. The six roads have entered into the maintenance period.
