Tashkent, Uzbekistan - August 30 and 31, 2023 marked the completion ceremonies for two hydropower projects undertaken by General Technology Company (GTC) in Uzbekistan. On August 30th, the completion ceremony for the Chirchik-10 Hydropower Station was held on-site. Davron Shidoyatov, the Mayor of Chirchik City, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and inspected the Chirchik-10 Hydropower Station project.
The following day, August 31st, the completion ceremony for the Tashkent-1 Hydropower Station was held at the plant site. Bakhtiyor Abdullayev, Head of Yunusabad District, Tashkent, joined Wang Jingye, the Regional Vice President of Genertec International in Central Asia, to jointly officiate the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Bakhtiyor Abdullayev congratulated the successful delivery of the project and expressed his sincere gratitude to all the personnel involved. In his remarks, Wang Jingye stated that Genertec CNTIC has been continuously expanding its business in Uzbekistan's railway, hydropower, and agricultural irrigation sectors over the past 20 years. In 2019 alone, the Company signed contracts for three hydropower station renovation projects, all of which had been fully commissioned and connected to the grid by the end of 2022.
